OVERMECCANICA 2.750 MM TISSUE REWINDER, 3-4 layers, 1200 m/ mn, 4 unwind stands GENERAL: Manufacturer Over Meccanica Sheet width after trimming 2,650 mm Max parent roll width 2,750 mm Max parent roll diameter 2,500 mm Max finished roll diameter 1,500 mm Max drive speed 1,200 mpm Dynamic balancing speed 1,500 mpm The machine is essentially made up of: 4 x Unwind stands 1 x 2-roll Combining Calendar 1 x 2-Drum Winder with 8 slitters Lineshaft drive mechanical drive Roll Lowering Table Control Console ROLL SIZES DIAMETER FACE QUANTITY DRUMS 500 mm 2,750 mm 2 SHEET LEADING ROLLS 215 mm 3,200 mm 4 SHEET SPREADER ROLLS 175 mm 2,930 mm 3 BOTTOM SLITTER HOLDING ROLL 275 mm 2,920 mm 1 RIDER ROLL 190 mm 2,710 mm 1 UNWIND STANDS Each unit can accomodate the reel bars coming from the paper machine with parent rolls up to 2,200 mm diameter. Centering of parent roll in cross direction and machine direction (squaring) is by manual device. The two adjustable, cast iron bearing housing slide on prismatic guides and near recovery is by means of gibs with adjusting screws.IMG_5338 Each unwind stand includes: Roll drawing system of perispherical type by single running tape with crowned pulleys mounted on ball bearings. Idle pulley is supported by pivoting arm which is operated by air cylinder controlled from the console with automatic adjustment through cam and valve. The geometry of the unit and the adjusting system are such as to ensure a proper contact of the drawing tape with the roll from beginning to end of winding. COMBINING CALENDER Designed to operate in a pressure range of 0 to 20 kg/cm2, consisting of the following: Bottom roll, diameter 400mm, f ace 2900 mm, with ground and crossed surface, grease-lubricated self-aligning bearings and cast iron bearing housings. Top roll diameter 400 mm – face 2,900 mm – Same characteristics as bottom roll. Both rolls have extended journal for connection to drive. Pressure system of the combining calendar is pneumatic, consisting of air bellows acting on bottom roll shafts. no.2 Oscillating doctors for the combining calendar rolls, made of steel with harmonic steel blades. Eccentric levers for if ting and loading by gravity. WEB TRANSFER and STABILIZING TABLE Located under the unwind stands, in the web run among the various sheet leading rolls up to the combining calendar. It is adjustable in height through its supporting feet. WINDER FRAMING Consting of two sturdy frames anchored to the machine soleplates and connected by Stiffening cross members. Guides are machined out on the columns for the sliding of core chucks carriages. The pneumatic cylinders for carriage lowering and lifting are incorporated inside the frame. An indicator of paper roll diameter with graduated rod is located on front side frame. SLITTER UNIT – including One fixed bow spreader roll with bow rotation adjustable by means of handwheel situated at slitting station inlet. One set of circular knives for shear slit mounted on beam with dovetail guides. They can be easily shifted for a quick slit size change. One fixed bow spreader roll with adjustable rotation of the bow, located at slitter station outlet. The bottom slitters holding roll is mounted on antifriction bearings and driven by one of the drums through pulley and belt. A system of race pulleys with "V" belts and stretchers transmits the motion of the bottom slitter roll to the two spreaders rolls situated at inlet and.outlet of the slitting station. Slitters are pneumatically and simultaneously engaged and retracted from the control console. Each slitter can be engaged and disengaged individually by means of levers placed in the counterknives holding roll. Bottom knives are multi-slit type and made of hardened steel. WINDING UNIT Roll is wound on two drums, diameter 500 mm with rear side extended journal for drive connection. Centering will be between core chucks on board cores having inside diameter of 76 mm. Core chucks, of idle ends type, are supported by roller bearings and clamping is by means of air cylinders and hand-wheel. Core chucks lifting takes place on carriages equipped with bearings sliding on guides located on the main frame. The guide bearings, grease lubricated, can be adjusted by means of cam for the possible backlash compensation. Lifting and lowering are through a set of double acting air cylinders incorporated in the frame. LINEAR PRESSURE CONTROL BETWEEN DRUMS AND ROLL This device consists of a cam and valve controllingthe ingoing air pressure of the two air cylinders. RIDER ROLL This steel roll is supported by a pivoting frame hinged to the main frame. Roll lil ting and lowering are through double acting air cylinders anchored to the framing and synchronizes by cross shaft. SIDE DEFLECTORS Side deflectors are provided to convey trims into the suction System. ROLL EJECTOR This full width ejecting system transfers the finished roll to the lowering table. It consists of a steel roll supported by pivoting steel levers actuated by air cylinders controlled from the control console. On the back of the roll ejector a device is provided for board cores loading and positioning in the drum valley during the roll ejection travel. A safety device prevents the operator from doing f alse moves. ROLL LOWERING TABLE Roll lowering table gently lowers the finished roll to the floor but also acts as guard preventing the paper roll from coming out during winding cycle. Lowering table is actuated by hydraulic cylinders. It is interlocked for safe sequence of operation. HYDRAULIC POWER STATION The hydraulic power necessary to operate the roll lowering table is obtained by meaqns of a station mounted on reservoir, complete with pump, filters, valves and interconnecting piping. CONTROL CONSOLE A console, equipped with all hydraulic, pneumatic and electric controls make available to the operator all necessary date for a correction operation of the machine. The control console has a double slopewith measuring and indicating equipment located in the upper lope and valves and pushbuttons in the lower one. Electrical equipment are installed in a compartment separate from hydraulic and pneumatic equipment. The electrical compartment is anessible through hinged door and the hydraulic and pneumatic equipment through hinged doors and removable covers located in the front. MECHANICAL DRIVE Mechanical drive necessary to drive the unwind stands, the paper leading rolls and the combining calendar consists of lineshaft holding the pulleys and inshafts receiving motion through flat belts and taper pulleys enabling the speed variation and synchronization of the various machine sections. Variation will take place by modifying the position of the belts on the pulleys through beltshafters. For rider roll drive, motion is directly transmitted through cross shaft. A parting brake, automatically engaged where machine is still prevents possible sudden rotation of the shafts. Drive is designed for a max. operating speed of 1,200 mpm and is equipped with D.C. motor.
